As a part of the firm’s Business Representation practice group, Thomas J. (Tommy) Simendinger draws on his experience in entrepreneurship and the sports industry to assist clients in navigating a broad range of business and legal issue relating to the creation, transfer, expansion, and sale of a business.
Prior to joining ASWD, Tommy worked closely with start-up businesses and entrepreneurs at the Kentucky Innovation Network and UpTech accelerator program by helping with matters ranging from the closing/winding down of companies to exploring uncharted avenues of follow-on funding. With this experience with entrepreneurs, Tommy understands their needs and the pace at which they expect results. Because of this, Tommy is uniquely suited to assisting any entrepreneur or small business owner with their legal or business issues.
In addition to his experience with entrepreneurs, Tommy has a deep background in the sports industry, having worked in many leagues and for many organizations in legal and business roles, including the NBA, NCAA, NFL, NASCAR, and USA Track and Field. Through these experiences, not only does Tommy have an extensive understanding of the problems facing sports executives and organizations but he also understands the needs of businesses and corporations in general.
